TOGETHER WITH
Good morning, Swansea! This is the Swansea Scoop, the local newsletter that's like finding a parking space in Mumbles on a bank holiday 😊
It's a big week in Swansea with Tunes on the Bay returning for a second year running - plus the start of Clyne in Bloom, a Folk and Ale Festival, a nocturnal insect hunt - and a Boyband in the Buff at the Grand. Yes, really.
Whatever you're up to, have a good one and I'll catch you on Wednesday!
Andrew.

Your New Favourite Coffee Spot in Mumbles ☕
The Underhill Hub has relaunched with a brand new food menu, a fresh team, and great coffee - and it's right next to the park and playground, making it a perfect stop if you're out with the kids or the dog.
And as a not-for-profit, everything they do goes back into the community.
Kick off your morning with their £5 breakfast deal - a hot drink and breakfast roll, available every day until 12pm. Feeling hungry later? Baguettes are served from 12pm.
And if you have little ones, there’s Toys & Toast - a free weekly morning for pre-schoolers and their carers.
The Hub’s also launching the Hub Collective - a space for local suppliers and businesses to showcase the best of what Mumbles has to offer, and it hosts a free monthly Repair Café, every second Friday.
Whether you're after a quiet coffee or a morning out with the kids, make Underhill Hub your next stop.

WEDNESDAY'S SCOOP (ICYMI) 🦢

There would be no Dylan Thomas without David John Thomas.
That sounds like a statement of the obvious - of course there'd be no Dylan without his father. What I mean is that the poetry, the voice, the literary obsession that made Dylan one of the most celebrated writers of the twentieth century: all of it came from one man, in one house, in the Uplands.
His name is not on any trail. There is no statue, no theatre, no murals. This week, we tell his story.

THE DIGEST 📰
🍽️ Truffle, the popular French and Welsh-influenced restaurant on King Edwards Road, has been listed for sale after almost a decade under the same ownership.
🚽 The Quadrant Shopping Centre has introduced a 30p charge to use its toilets.
🎯 The BBC is looking for Swansea pairs to appear on Pointless - could it be you?
🗿 Swansea University has unveiled a permanent sculpture honouring the people who donate their bodies to medical science.
🌊 The cause of the flooding that has plagued Cwmbwrla for months is finally fixed - and Carmarthen Road fully reopens Tuesday.
