TOGETHER WITH

Good morning, Swansea! This is the Swansea Scoop - the local newsletter that’s like the first pumpkin spice latte of the season 😊

The nights have started drawing in, but there’s plenty on to tempt you out of the house all week long - some of it elegant, some of it medieval, and some of it preserved in oil 🐟

Highlights include a Bond-themed concert, a medieval murder mystery walking tour, and an evening with two Formula One legends. All that, plus a tinned fish tasting evening, Ecstatic Dance under the stars, the Swansea Bay 10k, and tons more.

Whatever you're up to, have a good one and I'll catch you on Wednesday!

Andrew.

P.S. Thanks to everyone who responded to the poll last week about attending another Swansea Scoop Dinner Club. Tentative plans are now in motion, so watch this space for an announcement!

WEDNESDAY'S SCOOP (ICYMI) 🦢

In March 1949, six members of Swansea's Evening Post staff volunteered to be hypnotised by a visiting stage performer named Peter Casson.

Before long, one of them was standing high above the city in a position that would make most people think twice even while fully awake.

This week, we look back at the extraordinary Swansea stunt that blurred the line between stage entertainment, psychology, and something much stranger.
