Good morning, Swansea! This is the Swansea Scoop, the newsletter that’s like finding a fiver in your winter coat pocket ☺️
I hope you enjoyed Halloween last night. If you're anything like me, you bought three bags of sweets for trick-or-treaters, got two knocks at the door, and now you're eating Haribo for breakfast. No judgement here 😂
This week, there are Bonfire Night fireworks displays across the city, Bill Bailey, The Archers live, wildlife walks, and tons more.
Whatever you’re up to, have a good one and I’ll catch you on Wednesday!
Andrew.
P.S. I accidentally sent two emails on Wednesday instead of one - sorry about that, but hope you enjoyed the bonus Swansea Devil story!

WEDNESDAY'S SCOOP (ICYMI) 🦢

This week, I shared the story of the Swansea Devil, a wooden carving placed opposite St Mary’s Church by a disgruntled architect in the 1890s. He made a chilling prediction about the church’s fate, which remarkably came true nearly 50 years later. From surviving the Three Nights’ Blitz to disappearing for decades and sparking protests in the Quadrant, Old Nick has had quite the history.
