Swansea Food & Drink Festival lands in Swansea city centre for the first time on Saturday 9th - Sunday 10th August.
It's a weekend of street food, local produce, and live entertainment with a friendly, laid-back vibe the whole family will love - dogs welcome too!

WEDNESDAY'S SCOOP (ICYMI) 🦢

🐕🦺 Swansea Prison inmates are refurbishing Guide Dogs charity collection boxes, gaining trade qualifications and supporting community causes as part of a rehabilitation initiative.
♻️ Clyne Recycling Centre earned high praise from Adrian Chiles in The Guardian, calling it a “symphony of efficiency” and urging even the dump-less to visit for the spectacle.
🕳️ After a two-year sinkhole saga, Cwmfelin Social Club will be completely demolished before Welsh Water begins sewer and culvert repairs.
🎤 Wallace & Gromit voice actor Ben Whitehead will make his worldwide convention debut at Swansea Comic Con on 26 October at LC Swansea.
🌱 New data shows Swansea ranks 3rd in Wales for Japanese knotweed infestations, with 936 reports. Residents urged to check gardens during peak growth.

🍽️ Station 86 is opening up a takeaway-only venue “very soon, ” just a few doors down from its existing cafe. Station Express will serve coffee, cakes, ice-creams, sandwiches, and more.
🍽️ Hello Asia opened yesterday on Princess Way in the city centre, with a Make Your Own Noodles option, teas, coffees, and lots of Asian treats.
🍽️ Beer Riff and Vegan Filth collab on the weekends (Friday-Sunday), with loaded vegan burgers, fries, and locally-brewed beer.
🍽️ Tangled Parrot is hosting a 3-course meal celebrating Swansea and West Wales cuisine, curated by chef Filippo (Y Polyn), followed by a talk from Jeff Towns on his new book The Wilder Shores of Dylan Thomas on Friday, August 1st.
