Good morning, Swansea!

July's a big one! The Wales Airshow returns to Swansea Bay, the IRONMAN triathlon runs through the city, and the Mumbles Raft Race marks 40 years on the water. Plus, there’s live music most weekends, Meet the Bees, stand-up comedy, wine tasting, and tons more.

So, let's get into it with a round-up to help you plan ahead.

🎨 July 1st - July 31st: Gower Open Studios

Local artists across the Gower Peninsula open their studios to the public across three trails (West, South and North Gower), covering painting, ceramics, glass, sculpture and more. Free to visit, with a chance to buy work directly from the artist.

A night of stand-up at Down By Here on the High Street, headlined by Spanish-Welsh comedian Ignacio Lopez (Live at the Apollo, Have I Got News For You) with support from Caerphilly comic Tommy Smith.

🧗🏼‍♀️ July 3rd: Totally 80s Festival

Singleton Park goes full throwback for one night, headlined by Aswad, with iconic hits from T'Pau, Tiffany and Sonia also on the bill, plus a few surprise guests promised.

🎉 July 4th: Clubland & Logic Live in the Park

A brand new dance festival lands at Singleton Park for the day, with a serious lineup including Ultrabeat, Basshunter, Andy Whitby, Flip & Fill, Hixxy and Ben Nicky. A big one for anyone who grew up on Clubland CDs.

🎵 July 4th: Thank ABBA for the Music

A two-hour ABBA-fest at Swansea Grand Theatre, capturing all the magic of one of pop history's most phenomenal acts. One night only.

🎹 July 9th: The Simon & Garfunkel Story

A note-for-note recreation of the legendary duo's music and story, charting their rise from Greenwich Village folk clubs to global stardom, at Swansea Grand Theatre.

🎙️ July 10th: CASH - A Tribute to Johnny Cash

A serious, musically focused tribute tracing Johnny Cash's career from his early Sun Records days onward, at Sin City on Dillwyn Street. Doors 7pm, 16+.

🪗 July 11th: Jools Holland and his Rhythm & Blues Orchestra

Jools Holland brings his orchestra to Swansea Building Society Arena, joined by special guest Roachford and guest vocalists Ruby Turner, Louise Marshall and Sumudu Jayatilaka.

🎪 July 11th: Pennard Carnival

Gower's long-running community carnival returns, with a colourful procession before afternoon entertainment at Pennard Playing Fields - AberTaiko Drum Band, a parkour display, Penclawdd Brass Band, a Welly Wanging Competition, and the ever-popular Scwuff's Dog Show, followed by an evening bash.

🏰 July 11th: D-Fest 2026

A popular community-led music and family festival hosted at Dunvant Rugby Football Club in Killay, with a lineup of local live bands, street food vendors and family activities.

🏃 July 12th: IRONMAN 70.3 Swansea

The triathlon returns to Swansea Bay, with athletes swimming, cycling and running their way around the city and out to Mumbles and back.

🐷 July 15th–16th: Peppa Pig's Big Family Show

Peppa, George, Mummy and Daddy Pig are getting ready for a new arrival in their brand new live stage show, packed with music, adventure and an "oinktastic" makeover along the way, at Swansea Grand Theatre.

🥊 July 17th: Heart of the Dragon Boxcup

Swansea's inaugural premier amateur boxing tournament at LC Swansea, bringing together regional competitive talent for a full fight card.

🎤 July 17th: Sugarhill Gang

The old-school hip-hop pioneers behind "Rapper's Delight" bring their golden-era sound to Sin City on Dillwyn Street. Doors 7pm.

🧚🏼‍♀️ July 18th: Enchanted Fairy Trail

A magical family event at Oystermouth Castle, with fairies and elves leading children on a 30-minute twinkling trail through the secret castle and an enchanted forest. Normal admission charges apply.

🥾 July 18th–19th: Gower Peninsula Ultra Challenge

Runners take on a choice of distances – 75km, 50km, marathon, 25km or 10km – across the cliffs, beaches and lanes of the Gower Peninsula this weekend.

🎩 July 19th: Just Like That!

Magician Stefan Pejic and cast members from the upcoming Cooper The Musical bring an afternoon of songs, magic, comedy and behind-the-scenes stories from the new Tommy Cooper stage show to the Problematic Pub Comedy Club. Doors 1pm, show 2pm, £15.

🚣🏼‍♀️ July 19th: Mumbles Raft Race

The much-loved Mumbles Raft Race returns for its 40th anniversary, with homemade rafts racing off Knab Rock from midday in aid of the RNLI. A previous edition raised over £10,000 for the charity.

⚽ July 19th: World Cup Final on the Big Screen

The FIFA World Cup has been shown on big screens across Swansea throughout the tournament. If you’re looking for somewhere fun to watch the final, The Albert Hall, Three Brass Monkey, Founders & Co., and The Swansea Jack sports bar are good options.

🎷 July 22nd: Swansea Jazzland - Hamish Stuart Band

Swansea's jazz scene continues with another evening of live music from the Hamish Stuart Band at Swansea Grand Theatre Arts Wing.

🍴 July 23rd: Swansea Scoop Dinner Club - Mumbles

The Dinner Club heads back to Mumbles for an evening of new faces and good food. Take a quick quiz to get matched to a table of like-minded new friends, followed by drinks at a nearby bar afterwards.

🐝 July 25th: Meet the Bees

A hands-on beekeeping session at the National Waterfront Museum with Museum Beekeeper Alyson Williams - suit up, open a hive, and see the activity inside for yourself.

✈️ July 25th–26th: Wales Airshow

The Wales Airshow returns to Swansea Bay with two days of aerial action including the RAF Typhoon, the Spitfire, Hurricane and Dakota, plus ground displays, food trucks and live music along the prom from 10am to 6pm both days. The weekend closes with Wales Airshow: Afterburn, a sunset finale featuring a 200-drone display and fireworks. Free to attend.

🍷 July 30th: Summer Tasting at ND John Wines

A walk-around wine tasting at ND John Wine Merchants on Walter Road, with a glass and tasting booklet to explore BBQ-friendly whites and serious alfresco reds at your own pace, plus canapés through the evening.

🎻 July 31st: Ibiza Orchestra Experience

A 26-piece live orchestra performs the biggest Ibiza dance classics at Singleton Park, with special guests The Artful Dodger, Baby D, N-Trance and Phats & Small.
